Who am I?
My name is Kim Long, but you can call me whatever you'd like.
I'm a 20 year old who resides in Westminster, CA. I am a student, musician, photographer: a general artist I guess, and that keeps me busy. My line of work takes me all around Southern California, mostly Orange County. I've been a musician for longer than I can remember, but I didn't decide that I wanted to do it for the rest of my life until towards the end of high school. Creativity consumes my life, whether it's in art or just problem solving. Sponaneity defines who I am. Try to keep up.
I am currently a student at California State University of Long Beach. My major? Music Education. I'm shooting for a BM and Credentials within three or four years. I am also a percussionist at CSULB, though I auditioned into the program a year after I started attending the school. It keeps me busy.
Where am I headed?
Like I said, I'm working on a Bacchelors of Music in Music Education. Or.. I'm going to be a teacher, probably another high school band director. It's not the best paying job in the world, but it's something I enjoy doing, I know I can do, and it's stable enough to put together a decent lifestyle. A fellow musician once told me, "Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life."
On the side, I also want to be a wedding photographer, or just a photographer. When the going gets rough, photography is my escape. I've never had any formal training with photography. My training was a Canon PowerShot during sophmore year in high school and boredom. At least, that's what I thought was boredom. I think I've come a long way since then.
I most definitely intend to stay in Orange County. I love my life here too much. Sure I'd like to travel around the world and go on road trips, but I can't think of another place to call home.
